The Yachtmaster Centre Goa has been recently formed by Dr Matteo Fraboni Montagna and Mr Govind Poteker to offer the yachting community in India a range of Iymcs courses to international quality standards (ISO 9001:2015 BSI certified).

Yachtmaster Centre's Chief Instructor is Captain Dilip Donde, he is a retired Indian Naval officer and the first Indian to complete a solo, unassisted circumnavigation of the globe under sail. An experienced sailing & navigation instructor, he is a qualified naval instructor and when needed, can teach more advanced courses such as celestial navigation for ocean cruising. In teaching his students, Dilip offers an unprecedented level of advice, guidance in a calm informal manner.

Matteo gained his sailing experience on different sizes of sailing yachts as well as open keelboats and dinghies. He has sailed in many parts of the Mediterranean and in Thailand. He trained and qualified as an Iymcs Instructor. He specialises in teaching near-coastal sailing courses in an informal way whilst highlighting details of safety awareness.
Matteo is an experienced music teacher and is a world renown professional jazz musician. Matteo teaches sailing in the same way as he teaches music offering his students, an enjoyable course and learning experience.

The Goa coastline with its estuaries, bays and islands makes a great training area for learning sailing and navigation. The beaches are stunning. A superb sailing holiday destination.

Course are taught in Hindu, Italian & English.
