Training Consultancy 40m Superyacht Bucketlist10

After a 3 year semi-custom build project managed by Sébastien, the 40 metre Sailing Yacht Bucketlist10 was recently launched, and is now undertaking sea trials and crew training during the next 12 months in preparation for a 7-year world circumnavigation owner's cruise, starting with a northern route, North Atlantic passage.

The Iymcs Operations Office is pleased announced that Iymcs was selected to provide a customised 12 month professional crew training program. The program focuses upon safe working practices, mini-ISM and safe navigation consisting of on-board on the job training, onshore classroom and workshop classes. The curriculum, assessments and examinations are for the professional Iymcs courses and Certifications: Assistant Watchkeeper (IMO Model), Radar Navigation (IMO Model 1.07), Teamwork & Leadership (IMO Model 1.39), DeckCrew Pro Sail, DeckEngineer 80GT, Master 80GT24m/Mate 200GT (STCW Adherence II/3 restricted) and Master 200GT/OOW 350GT (STCW Adherence II/2 or II/3 restricted).

In a recent discussion with Sébastien and the owner, Roger commented "When undertaking this type of training consultancy project numerous criteria need to be taken into account when professionally training the crew so that they can safely navigate and work in all-weathers, all-seas. With our Society's extensive resources together with the support of our Society Member schools and colleges, I am confident that we can achieve the objectives."
